The release date for macOS Monterey (macOS version 12.0) is October 25, 2021.
Monterey was announced at WWDC21 in June and was rolled out to developers in 10 beta versions. Monterey has several new features including Quick Notes, SharePlay, and Shortcuts for Mac.
All compatible MacBooks and Macs can install macOS Monterey for free.

The Music app on a macOS computer can be used to create a free ringtone for iPhone. Making a ringtone from a song or Voice Memo in the Music library takes a few steps. Once the ringtone is created, it can be transferred to the iPhone and used for phone calls, incoming Messages, and other alerts. There are some songs that are copyright protected, which means that a ringtone cannot be made from that file.
Follow these steps on your Mac to make a free ringtone with Music. Once the ringtone has been created, copy the ringtone to your iPhone with the instructions below.

After 25 years of dedicated service the Adobe Flash Player is kaput. The ball started rolling in 2010, when Steve Jobs published an open letter titled "Thoughts on Flash". Along with the letter, Apple refused to allow Flash to be installed on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. While it may have been a controversial stance at the time, in 2017 Adobe announced it was discontinuing Flash. The company officially dropped Flash support at the end of 2020.

After lagging behind for years, Messages for macOS Big Sur has finally been fully updated and now has all of the capabilities that its iOS counterpart enjoys.
