Apple reinstated the classic dial picker in apps such as Calendar and Clock with the release of iOS 15. Many iPhone fans find the large dials easier to use, and don't miss the previous design. For those who prefer a shortcut, the ability to enter a time or date with the number pad has not gone away. The feature may be hidden, however there's a simple way to quickly bring up the keypad.

A lot of people like to (or at least used to like to, before they started using smart phones as alarm clocks instead of good old clock radios) wake up to a local news station to hear traffic, weather, sports scores and more, or to their favorite music station. Since your iPhone is capable of tuning into just about any radio station you'd think there would be an option to have the alarm automatically tune to one of your choice.

Choosing an alarm in the iOS Clock app includes setting a time, deciding on a sound, and even adding or removing a vibration pattern. But when it comes to the alarm volume, this adjustment is nowhere to be found. Changing the alarm ring volume takes place in the main Settings, not in the Clock app.

iPhone alarms can keep the day moving, from a wake up call to reminders for weekly events. By default, the iPhone likes to vibrate, which makes alarms harder to miss. But sometimes the sound of an alarm going off is enough, especially when your iPhone is resting on a hard table or night stand.

While the iPhone offers many different alarm sounds, many users prefer to wake up with music playing. Choosing your favorite song or using Apple Music as your alarm works well. Now thanks to the jailbreak tweak SpotAlarm, fans of the streaming music service Spotify can use any Spotify track as an alarm. The tweak is compatible with iOS 8 and iOS 9 on jailbroken devices.
