Apple has launched the latest iOS 13.5 beta to the public through the Apple Beta Software Program. The finished update is expected to drop later this month, with new features mostly related to the global coronavirus pandemic. Siri has already been updated to deliver answers to questions regarding COVID-19, and Apple has launched a separate screening website and app.

Watch Apple TV+ and EPIX free for a limited time

Apple has made several of its original shows free to watch without an Apple TV+ subscription. Streaming content included in the offer can be seen under the "Free for Everyone" collection in the Apple TV app. To watch, you must be signed into the app with an Apple ID, but no purchase is required. Shows can also be watched on a web browser at tv.apple.com.

iPhone 12 Pro gets LiDAR scanner this fall

Hot on the heels of the recent iPad Pro refresh, the upcoming iPhone 12 Pro looks to have similar advanced imaging equipment on board. The picture above shows an iPhone 12 Pro support manual diagram (left) alongside the imaging cluster on the newest iPad Pro. Leaks have all but confirmed that the iPhone 12 Pro features a three-camera optical imaging system (7), with a fourth sensor devoted to LiDAR (8). Light Detection and Ranging has already come to the 2020 iPad Pro, promising to improve augmented reality (AR) and beyond.
