How to use AirPlay with Apple TV

Apple TV

One of the key advantages to Apple TV for iPhone owners is AirPlay. While tvOS continues to offer new features and easy access to content, sometimes sharing content directly from the iPhone to the big screen is best. In fact, since AirPlay is peer-to-peer technology, friends and family interested in showing photos or video from their iPhones don't even have to be connected to the local Wi-Fi network. Once the Apple TV is set up, follow these steps to share from any app on the iPhone using AirPlay:

How to schedule a trip with Waze

How to use planned drives on Waze on iPhone.

Arguably the best navigation app for your iPhone, Waze plans your route based on real-time crowdsourced information about the roadways. Using current data about accidents, construction, traffic jams, police activity and more, Waze will change your route accordingly, getting you to your destination via the fastest route available. One of its lesser known features allows you to schedule a drive for the future. Waze will then alert you when it is time to leave based on real-time road conditions.

How to add channels to the TV app on your iPhone

How to connect tv channels to the iOS TV app on iPhone.

Apple's new TV app, which is currently available in beta and set to officially launch in early December, is intended to unify all of your media apps, making their content accessible from one place. Rather than opening your FXNOW app to watch American Horror Story, then exiting and signing in to your USA app to watch Mr. Robot, you will be able to access both from the TV app on your iPhone and iPad. The app has a Watch Now section that allows you to browse selections from all of your connected apps, a Library that contains your purchased media and a Store to purchase new media.

How to enable single sign-on for your TV provider on your iPhone

With the latest iOS beta (10.2) Apple introduced the "Single Sign-On" setting, a convenience that has been a long time coming. It allows users to enter their cable provider information once and then uses it to automatically sign into any apps that might require it. If you are a Dish Network subscriber, for example, you won't need to sign in every time you want to watch it on your iPhone, nor will you have to constantly log into individual network apps that require a cable/satellite subscription.
