New iOS 7 Jailbreak Tweak Gives You a Live Weather Icon

If you have been waiting for a dynamic Weather app icon for eons and wondering why Apple has never done it, especially since they just came out with an updating Clock icon for iOS 7, your wait is over. Developer Hamza Sood, who is known for his SiriToggles package, beat Apple to it with the aptly named LiveWeatherIcon tweak. Although it is only a minor detail it is yet another layer of customization that adds depth to the overall user experience.

LiveWeatherIcon

If you are jailbroken and tired of the old, boring, static Weather app icon, you might want to give the LiveWeatherIcon tweak a try. The tweak brings life to the Weather app by animating the icon to reflect the current weather conditions - stormy weather outside translates to a stormy icon and so on. It continuously updates so it

Give Your iOS 7 Control Center More Control with Jailbreak Tweak CCQuick

As one would expect, many tweaks for the Control Center have emerged since the iOS 7 jailbreak became available. The Control Center is meant to be one of the main user interfaces and, as such, users are going to want to customize it to fit their needs appropriately. Tweaks like CCControls and FlipControlCenter allow you to customize the toggles found within the Control Center - which ones are available and how they appear. The new jailbreak tweak CCQuick adds functionality to the Control Center by letting you access different apps from the CC, letting you kill background apps, giving you access to the hidden Springboard settings and letting you customize the background color.

CCQuick

You can find the CCQuick tweak in Cydia's BigBoss repository. Once you have it installed go to Settings->CCQuick. You will now have the option to change the Control Center background color, change the default apps in the Control Center, and change the kill app settings.

Customize Your iOS 7 Control Center with Jailbreak Tweak CCControls

When Apple's iOS 7 introduced the Control Center it became an obvious target for customization once the jailbreak tweaking got underway. One of the first new jailbreak tweaks to allow you to customize the Control Center was FlipControlCenter, which allowed you to control which switches would be available on your lock screen and what order they would be in. CCControls takes the Control Center customization to the next level, giving you many more options, including the ability to change the appearance of the toggles.

CCControls tweak

You can find the CCControls tweak in the ModMyI repository where you'll be able to install it for free. Once installed, head to Settings->CCControls. You'll be able to make your customizations here. From the main screen you can go to the "Themes", "Lock Screen Restrictions" or "Controls per Page" menus. From this screen you can

Speed up iOS 7 With NoSlowAnimations Jailbreak Tweak

One of the biggest complaints against iOS 7 has been its sluggish performance due to the slow animations that occur when opening an app or a folder. Although Apple purposefully designed iOS 7 this way in order to create a more enveloping user experience, most people seem to prefer quick access without the aesthetic bells and whistles. If the animations aren't your cup of tea, you can use the new jailbreak tweak NoSlowAnimations to speed up your experience.

NoSlowAnimations

The NoSlowAnimations tweak, which was developed by Marco Singhof, can be found on Cydia in the BigBoss repository. Simply install the app and you should notice a significant increase in animation speed, especially while switching, launching and closing apps. There is no setup process and there are no options to configure, but
