AlarmControl Toggles iOS Alarms In One Swoop

Does your jailbroken iPhone have a long list of alarms set up in the Clock app? Sometimes things can get disorganized, with some alarms on and others off. Scrolling through this list is easy enough, but the AlarmControl tweak makes things even easier. All alarms can be toggled immediately with just one button at the top of the screen.

Once installed, AlarmControl will add this Toggle Alarms button to the Clock app, right next to the add new alarm (+) button. Tap the toggle once, and all alarms are off. Tap it again, and every alarm will be turned on, it's that simple. Imagine going on vacation and touching a single button to keep your iOS alarm clock silent for the entire trip.

Hide iOS Lock Screen Notifications With MultiLS

Despite the high iOS 7 adoption rate, developers are still working on new and useful tweaks for those with older, jailbroken devices. With an iPhone 5 or earlier running iOS 6.1.2 there are many options available on Cydia. Many of these tweaks simulate iOS 7 features, and others such as MultiLS add new functionality to iOS.

Essentially, MultiLS adds a second lock screen to iOS. Incoming lock screen notifications are stored on a separate lock screen, hidden from view. Instead of popping up immediately, when a new message or alert arrives a slick glowing bar appears on the right side of the lock screen. The text in the slider bar also changes from "slide to unlock" to "slide to view".

Apple Releases iOS 7.0.4: Jailbreak Safe but You Should Probably Avoid it

Apple released iOS 7.0.4 to fix a FaceTime bug that caused "calls to fail for some users." Soon after the release, @iH8sn0w tweeted that the update “has no security changes.” iH8sn0w later added that the last few iOS updates "have not been directed as patching anything jb-related," and that Apple is probably waiting for the iOS 7 jailbreak to be released before they patch any exploits.

Soon after iH8sn0w's tweet, @MuscleNerd also confirmed that iOS 7.0.4 is jailbreak safe, but advised users to “avoid it" if they plan to jailbreak in the future. Apple's previous OS update, 7.0.3, was also found to be safe for jailbreakers by the evad3rs, who are the team of hackers working on the iOS 7 jailbreak.

Add Live Stats to the iOS Camera App

The iPhone 5 may take quality photos and videos, but the stock Camera app doesn't say much about how much storage is left on your device. Having a video stop recording because the iPhone is full means missing the action. Those who are still running iOS 6-6.1.2 can solve this problem with the jailbreak tweak FreeSpaceCam.

FreeSpaceCam adds more information to the in-camera heads up display. Battery percentage, video time remaining, and available storage capacity can be added to the stock Camera app. Each individual stat can be switched on or off, and the tweak can be disabled entirely if needed.

Schedule the iOS Passcode to Turn Off

Despite the release of iOS 7 there are still some useful jailbreak tweaks being released by developers for those running iOS 6-6.1.2. PasswordTime is a free tweak that will schedule the iOS passcode to be enabled during specific hours. Although this could be a security problem, this idea brings convenience to the forefront instead.

Just like scheduling Do Not Disturb, the tweak PasswordTime makes it possible to set a Start Time and End Time for passcode security. Turning off the passcode at the same time every day can save time and energy when unlocking the iPhone in a safe location. For example, when returning home from work in the evening, the passcode can be automatically switched off.
