The Google Home app is used on iPhone to detect and set up smart home devices including the Google Chromecast. Older Chromecast models, such as the first generation may have trouble during setup. There are several steps you can take to help correct the problem, and find the Chromecast in the Google Home app.

To troubleshoot the setup process, make sure the Chromecast has a flashing white LED when plugged into the TV and a power source. Otherwise reboot the Chromecast, or factory reset it by holding the Chromecast button for 20 seconds.

Walking directions just got a big enhancement on the Apple Maps app. iPhone owners with compatible devices can see where they're going with augmented reality (AR). Maps delivers real-time directions superimposed directly over your iPhone's actual surroundings.

Autocorrect is one feature of the iPhone that users love to hate. Sometimes the keyboard dictionary helps speed up typing. Other times there are more failures than successes. Over time iOS automatically adds words to its dictionary. Once the iPhone gathers custom words you have typed, they are corrected or suggested in predictive text buttons.

FaceTime can now be used across platforms, with Android phones or Windows devices connecting for video calls on Apple hardware. Formerly only Apple devices could make and accept FaceTime calls. Calls take place using a compatible web browser on the Android or Windows device, with iOS, macOS, or iPadOS version 15 or later on the Apple side.

Other improvements to FaceTime have been included with iOS 15, such as SharePlay. SharePlay makes it possible to watch videos, listen to music, and share your screen during FaceTime calls.

Instagram continues to add new features and different ways for users to customize their accounts.
